Job Overview
PFG Customized Distribution is a leading provider of customized attention and centralized contact for product lines, menu changes, and account coordination. As a Driver Trainee, you will learn to operate tractor trailers and assist experienced drivers in delivering goods to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Successfully complete Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program as required.
- Ride with and assist driver trainer in executing deliveries as required.
- Perform all required safety checks (i.e., pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
- Internal Candidates: 1 year of service in good standing as outlined in the PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program, able to attain CDL Permit and DOT Health Card.
- External Entry Level Hire: 0-6 months with a Valid CDL Permit.
