CNC Supervisor 2nd Shift
Monday - Thursday 4 : 00 pm 2 : 30 am
BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION :
PFI Precision, Inc. is looking for a dynamic, talented CNC Supervisor looking for a challenging career opportunity. The successful candidate must be willing to run CNC machines, edit programs and set-up new CNC lathe jobs, train additional set-up people and operators, improve existing processes, hold people accountable while being respectful, and provide leadership to the team and organization. This is a hands-on position that will require some direct production work.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION :
Set up multiple Turning or Milling Machining Centers (CNC Machines) involving intricate tooling in a wide range of close tolerance applications.Assist in devising methods of machining new and difficult jobs.Assist in scheduling and ordering tooling.Instruct and train others.Diagnose and correct problems of basic to medium difficulty, quickly and efficiently.Make programming and job improvements.Maintain production rate as documented in the process instructions.Improve 5S activity in your area of responsibility.Perform other duties as requested.Oversee the entire second shift including other departments. Total number of employees on the second shift will be approximately 7-9 people.ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES :
Assist, as needed, in other functional areas of machining.Work greater than 40 hours per week as required.Responsible for supervising and directing all employees in CNC area.Provide effective daily communication to first shift Supervisor, Managers and Maintenance.Provide optimal quality of service to all customers internal and external.Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines as required.Utilize personal and assigned tools to perform work assignments.Ability to manage multiple tasks and objectives.Hold team accountable in compliance with our ISO9000 quality system and Employee Handbook.MINIMUM EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE :
High school diploma or GED.5-10 years prior CNC manufacturing experience required.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.BEHAVIOR TRAITS :
