Role Summary :
Reporting to the Breast Cancer and Precision Medicine Market Research Team Lead, the person in this role will lead all market research efforts for a certain brand or brands by providing unbiased, objective, in-depth insights to inform business strategies and decisions.
The Director is a strategic thought partner to cross-functional leadership teams, including the Brand / Marketing Team, Medical Affairs, Oncology Commercial Analytics, Global Access and Value, and others. Through primary and secondary market research and analysis, she / he will identify business questions, design and conduct appropriate and relevant research plans, and embed an external market and customer point-of-view to drive strategic direction of brand business and lifecycle management.
This role is dynamic, fast-paced, highly collaborative, and covers a broad range of strategic topics that are critical to our business. The successful candidate will join Market Research Insights colleagues that are constantly driving the business through proactive thought leadership, innovative research capabilities, and the ability to influence and communicate complex and dynamic information in new and creative ways.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead with a strong understanding of all types of primary market research techniques, both qualitative and quantitative, to fulfill organizational insights needs.
Proactively identify and diagnose business questions, initiate and conduct research, and deliver insights and actionable recommendations across the lifecycle of the product(s).Identify implications, develop presentations with clear story lines, integrating new data and existing knowledge to tell a compelling and persuasive argument that supports key insights and actionable recommendations.Present insights to senior leadership, translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that influence and shape brand strategy and investment decisions.Work closely and collaborate with other Oncology Commercial Analytics partners to help synthesize all available information to produce a comprehensive point of view and deliver clear and actionable recommendations.Conduct ongoing brand performance tracking, including post-launch assessments, to ensure that the brand strategy remains aligned with market dynamics and evolving customer needs.Experience with oncology secondary data sources (e.g. patient claims, EMR, sales, payer information) to triangulate with market research insights.Lead the annual Situational Analysis process with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.Define brand research roadmap and analytic plan to drive business impact and deliver insight-based recommendations aligned with the brand's business goals and priorities.Provide a holistic, objective and analytical viewpoint of the market opportunities through ongoing situation analysis and superb understanding of market dynamics, customer and stakeholder needs, and competitive activities.Drive strategic thinking and serve as a market insights leader to the Commercial stakeholders by answering key business questions to define commercial strategies and tactics and drive investment decisions.Identify informational gaps within the Market Research Insights team and cross-functional teams, and plan and coordinate efforts to address those gaps.Compliance and GovernanceEnsure all market research activities comply with Pfizer's internal guidelines, as well as industry regulations and legal requirements.
Maintain detailed records of research activities to ensure transparency and audit readiness.Vendor and Resource ManagementActively seek new and innovative market research methodologies and capabilities to maximize business impact.
Manage and prioritize brand market research budget, timelines, and resources.Be accountable for continuous improvement, as well as the identification / utilization of new capabilities to maximize the competitive advantages of the business.Accountable for meeting compliance and Corporate SOP obligations of all Primary Market Research projects.Required Basic Qualifications :
10 years of professional experience, with 7 years in analytic and / or consulting roles.Extensive experience and knowledge in quantitative and qualitative market research methodologies.Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) required. Master's degree preferred (in marketing, market research or related field preferred but not required).Demonstrated analytical capabilities and critical thinking skills.Understanding of drug pharmaceutical development and commercialization process, as well as industry competitive dynamics.Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities under ambiguity and uncertainty.Demonstrated success defining business information and insight needs and translating those to specific deliverables.Strong understanding of legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical promotions.Outstanding interpersonal skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.Comfort with senior management and knowledge of senior management thought processes.Preferred Qualifications :
Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals industry experience.Prior Oncology knowledge and experience.Skills and Competencies :
Fluent in English (written and spoken).Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.Proven ability to act as a strategic partner with the capacity to quickly establish relationships of trust and credibility.Other Job Details :

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $149,200.00 to $261,000.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
