Cushion Stuffer

Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cushion Stuffer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that cushions are filled accurately and efficiently. This position does require previous Sewing experience.

Duties

• Expected to take initiative and be proactive.
• Able to read and understand shop orders, production schedules and follow written or verbal instructions.
• Meet or exceed the "Order Completion Time" for each Shop Orders.
• Average stuffing approximately 50 cushions an hour.
• Must be able to identify the correct vinyl by color, texture, grain and backing.
• Fill cushions with appropriate stuffing materials according to specifications.
• Inspect finished products for quality and consistency.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

PPE Requirements

• Safety glasses and hearing protection is required.
• Safety shoes are required and are to be purchased by the employee.

Language Skills

• Basic understanding of English language.
• Bilingual is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 40 lbs. repetitively.
• Must be able to stand the entire shift.
• Position requires bending, stooping, stretching and reaching.

Education and/or Experience Level

• High school diploma/GED preferred
• Experience in a manufacturing facility
• Basic knowledge of computer use.
• Flexible to perform multiple job functions and duties.
• Must have previous sewing experience
• Must be able to control the material to sew
• Must be able to accurately sew with even edges
• Must know how to change sewing threat and needles
• Must know how to change the sewing bobbling.

Work Location: High Point

Shift: 1st shift 5:45pm - 2:30pm Monday through Friday
