Restaurant Operations Manager - Full Time - Port St. Lucie, FL
We are currently hiring for a Restaurant Operations Manager who will be responsible for the overall management of Front of the House F&B Operations at PGA Golf Club, along with creating and delivering an innovative and pleasurable dining experience for all members and guests. Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, this role will be responsible for creating and implementing specific FOH service goals and objectives which work towards achieving budgeted goals. The Restaurant Operations Manager will achieve customer service excellence and financial accountability, by performing the following duties either personally or through subordinate managers and or subordinates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Execute operations at the highest level while being an integral part of the foundation and leadership of the F&B department.
Work closely with the Assistant General Manager and Culinary Operations Manager to establish the strategic vision of the F&B Operation while developing programs that enhance the Member/Guest Experience.
Lead and foster a positive, cooperative, and cohesive team environment and is able to maintain a professional and healthy working environment for all staff.
Uphold the highest levels of cleanliness, sanitation, health, and safety standards for all FOH outlets.
Manage facilities to remain compliant with all health, food, and liquor laws and regulations.
Consistent visible leader in the department who regularly makes their presence known to the Membership and take a leading role in opportunity resolution.
Establish hiring, training, and scheduling goals for all FOH team members leads in job evaluation and corrective action as per PGA Golf Club Standards.
Establish controls to ensure fiscal responsibility throughout the food and beverage department in the areas of – BWL COGS, Invoice Tracking, Waste, Shrink, Labor and Expense Management.
Develop and ensure the continued consistency of high standards in purchases and production - including order guides, recipes, prep sheets and presentation standards which ensure a consistent high quality while meeting budgeted goals.
Develop and maintain high standards in expense tracking - including sales, labor and expense management which ensure a consistent high quality and meets budgeted goals.
Assist the Assistant General Manager and Culinary Operations Manager in the budget process, monthly reporting and variance reconciliation and attend weekly Club Staff Meetings.
Assist the Culinary Operations Manager to - plan, develop, create, and appropriately cost all menus in addition, assist with the POS input and reporting for ala carte and banquet services.
Ensure that all transactions/payments and currency are properly reconciled daily.
Provide leadership for the assigned facility to all FOH staff members, ensuring the dining services meet the needs of service periods or events.
Work to develop staff to strengthen skills of all FOH staff. Prepare staff for advancement within the company. Delegate to Service Managers and line staff responsibilities to ensure a best in Class member experience.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Set the tone as a visible and professional leader within the Department. Responsible for the overall direction, and coordination, of the front of the house staff. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Developing processes and procedures and delegating these responsibilities to ensure that established departmental goals are achieved. Ability to effectively monitor and develop subordinates.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required. College or university program certificate preferred; or 6 to 8 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5 years of team management experience required.
This highly engaged and visible role requires strong team leadership skills as well as member relation skills with an ability to deliver an industry-leading dining experience and cuisine across a spectrum of concepts.
