Tool Designer and Machinist PGT Innovations

Job Summary

The Tool & Die Maker will be responsible for designing, building, and testing tools, molds, and dies for use in our manufacturing process.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build tools, molds, and dies using computer-aided design (CAD) software and manual drafting techniques
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure tools meet specifications and perform as intended
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve issues and improve processes
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and regulations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as mechanical engineering or manufacturing technology
• 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and materials science
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
