Position Overview: Accounting support is an important function within the organization. The Accountant manages the books and records of their assigned pharmacies ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reports to management.

- Responsible for ensuring timely month end close processing and financial statement review
- Performs monthly bank account reconciliations, balance sheet account reconciliations and work papers for monthly/quarterly balance sheet reviews by accounting management
- Performs daily cash posting for assigned pharmacies
- Assists department management in preparation for various audits
- Any other duties assigned
- Follow federal and state regulations
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Follow HIPPA guidelines and regulations
- A bachelor degree in accounting and 2-3 years of accounting experience required
- Must be knowledgeable in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Excellent Excel skills are required
- Workday and Sage experience a plus
- Superior organizational skills, strong task management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both internal and external customers, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- A positive attitude, with a high degree of ethics and personal integrity, as well as confidentiality, are traits needed to be successful in this role
- Previous Long-Term Care pharmacy experience a plus (but not required)
