Role Description
The Sales and Marketing Representative will initially be responsible for driving the awareness and growth of project management training workshops. You will identify and cultivate relationships with potential attendees, understand their training needs, enroll clients in workshops, and ensure their information is transferred to trainers. You may also be tasked with assisting with workshop administration. The role will grow to incorporate SaaS sales and marketing following product launch. There is a direct career path to a Chief Commercial Officer position as Phase One expands for the right individual. Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients across various industries
- Conduct outreach via phone, email, events, and social media to generate leads and enroll attendees
- Understand client needs and pass training needs to trainers.
- Deliver engaging presentations and demonstrations of workshop (and SaaS) offerings
- Collaborate with other Phase One personnel to develop promotional materials and campaigns
- Assist in the administration of workshops and attendance at events (e.g. tradeshows)
- Track sales and marketing activities and maintain accurate records
- Provide insight to the workshop and SaaS development teams that capture voice of the customer
Qualifications
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills
- Ability to thrive in a startup environment
- Experience with or ability to learn CRM software and sales analytics tools
- Must be over 18 years old and legally able to work in the US; Rhode Island region residents preferred
- Prior experience in management training and/or SaaS sales is a plus
- Formal education in business is a plus (required for advancement)
- Experience and certification in project management and/or product development is a plus
