As an Operations Configuration Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of Engineering Change Order (ECO) and Bill of Material (BOM) management. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure that ECOs and BOMs are accurate, up-to-date, and complete. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, and the utmost integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Create, update, and maintain Bills of Materials for various products.
- Coordinate and manage all configuration management processes.
- Manage BOM changes and updates through an established change control process.
- Work with team members to verify component availability and specifications.
- Analyze BOM and ECO data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Train team members on BOM processes and best practices.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and other visualizations to help the organization gain valuable insights from data.
- Improve the Engineering Change Management software based on company requirements, then test, maintain, and monitor these changes
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in BOM/ECO management or a related field.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and material requirements planning (MRP)
- Proven experience with ERP systems and BOM/ECO management software.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams.
