Job Description:
Seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide technical assistance to employees by troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues. You will be responsible for maintaining and supporting systems, performing software installations, updates, and providing guidance on the use of IT resources. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, and experience with IT support tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets and technical support inquiries.
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
- Assist with system imaging, setup, and configuration for new users.
- Manage and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access control in Active Directory.
- Install, update, and configure software and applications.
- Maintain IT inventory and track equipment replacements/upgrades.
- Support remote employees and troubleshoot remote access issues.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely resolution of technical problems.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in IT support or technical troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and other IT tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, Zendesk) and diagnostic tools.
- Familiarity with networking protocols and basic hardware troubleshooting.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
- Familiarity with endpoint management tools like SCCM or JAMF.
- Knowledge of AV technologies and conference room support.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
