What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jr. HR Generalist position at Phaxis?
This well-established, international bank seeks candidates to join their Human Resources Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer general HR employee requests and questions, escalating to senior team members as appropriate. Assist with day-to-day HR operations, including employee file maintenance, invoice reconciliation, report generation, and other clerical functions.
- Assist the HR team with the coordination of HR-related events such as Lunch-n-Learn sessions, holiday parties, charity events
- Verify and monitor I-9 documentation, ensuring data integrity and maintaining current records, including HRIS data input.
- Assist with recruitment efforts by scheduling interviews, conducting background checks, and supporting the new hire onboarding process, including preparing and reviewing new employee files.
- Conduct new hire orientations, assist with the onboarding process, and help process terminations.
- Assist the HR Manager and Senior Generalist with various management reports, monthly reporting, immigration reports, and ad-hoc reports. Complete projects within assigned deadlines.
- Review and submit non-exempt overtime payroll reports to the Payroll Department
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or other relevant studies.
- 3-6 years of Human Resources generalist experience, preferably in banking or a brokerage business.
- HR certifications (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) are a plus
