What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Office Manager position at PhD Dental Group?
Office Manager serves as the primary contact and provides work flow direction, practice expectation and daily follow up. The Office Manager will provide hands on support as an auxiliary staff member.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages and organizes administrative functions including revenue posting, staff payroll and invoice processing.
- Determine staff schedule and ensure operational standards
- Resolve patient/employee issues according to company policies and procedures.
- Manage patient scheduling and direct traffic flow. Oversee appointment scheduling and confirmation and coordinate with the Treatment Coordinator to ensure treatment plans are being accepted.
- Ensure the delivery of quality dental care customer service with care to our valued patients
- Coordinate with dental insurance companies to ensure claims are paid.
- Orders and maintains office supplies and inventory.
- Maintain equipment and facilities in accordance with hygiene and safety regulations including OSHA compliance.
- Manages office petty cash-fund and patient reimbursement procedures.
- Provide Dentist with general clerical/administrative duties as needed.
- Train, supervise and develops office staff.
- Oversee billing, collections and accounts receivable.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months of experience successfully leading/managing a team of people
- Ability to both think strategically and act tactically as necessary
- Proficient in Microsoft office and Dental software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow with an acute attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams.
- Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
Qualifications:
- 1 Dental Treatment Coordinating experience ( PPO and Denti-Cal)
- Knowledge of dental billing ( PPO & Dentical)
- Self motivated and ambitious attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Evenings and some Saturdays are required
- Must be Bilingual - Spanish/English
