The HR Specialist position is a full-time position and an integral part of the Human Resources team that supports the organization, its mission, and its over 600 employees. This position is key to the success of the team and will have opportunities to express creativity and grow with the team, as well as with the organization.

Duties:
- Work with hiring managers across the country to process job announcement requests
- Post job announcements in the JazzHR platform and on multiple websites
- Email job announcements to organization’s employees and partners
- Contact candidates to schedule interviews, then follow up with confirmation emails
- Create letters of offer
- Lead new hires through automated onboarding process in ADP Workforce Now
- Conduct e-Verify checks through automated onboarding platform
- Opportunity to provide input and direction regarding recruitment strategies and tools
- Maintain digital records and employee files pertaining predominantly to recruitment and onboarding
- Some work with outside partners on management of the organization’s DOT driver program
- Help with other duties as assigned
- Ability to establish and model excellent teamwork and collaboration with diverse work groups
- Familiar with current federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Some familiarity with ADP Workforce Now a plus; other HRIS experience such as JazzHR is also beneficial
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Integrity and confidentiality
- Ability to respond to and resolve moderately complex questions and concerns
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented and able to work well in a high-volume, changing environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- 2-3 years of HR experience
Compensation and Benefits
