What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Attorney position at Phelan Phelan & Danek, LLP?
PPD is looking to add an associate attorney to our team!
We are a well-established civil litigation firm, with a focus in medical malpractice defense and construction litigation.
We are looking for applicants who are excited to learn, and who are comfortable working in both a team-based and independent environment as needed. Responsibilities include discovery, motion practice, Court appearances, depositions, research, and maintaining close contact with clients, experts, and carriers, among other things. Applicants should be prepared to work in-office but will have opportunities to work remotely.
Applicants must be admitted to the NYS bar. Experience in medical malpractice, personal injury and/or construction law preferred, but not required. Salary is commensurate with experience and competitive with the area.

Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school
- Admission to NYS Bar
- 1 years of civil litigation experience
- Strong communication, interpersonal and writing skills
