Busy law firm with two attorneys practicing in criminal, personal injury and civil cases seeking a paralegal for our personal injury and civil caseload. Experience having worked on personal injury and civil cases is beneficial but not required. Responsibilities will include opening and maintaining all personal injury and civil client's files; managing deadlines and scheduling events for the attorney; communicating with clients, other law firms, court personnel, and others as a representative of the office; preparing correspondence, pleadings and transaction documents; preparation of trial materials.
The position requires great attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and multitask. A professional attitude and excellent organizational skills are a must. The successful candidate will also have had training or experience in legal terminology, general office practices and procedures, strong inter-personal skills and writing skills.
While we are accommodating to the various scheduling needs of our employees, this position requires you to be available to stay after office hours to work on deadlines with the attorney / other office staff occasionally.
Compensation will be commensurate with the experience / training of the successful candidate.
