Long Term Substitute--EL Tutor (for English Language Learners)
Dates: Immediate Start to April 4, 2025
Primary Responsibility:
Work in conjunction with the EL teacher as instructed by the Principal to deliver services to our EL student population.
Provide support during ACCESS administration as directed by school principal and EL Teacher
Assist our EL students in the classroom with language and instruction
Build strong relationships and open communication with students and families
Coordinate with our district EL liaison, EL teachers, and school administrators to provice a link between student/family and school
Communicate with families via texts, Whatsapp and phone calls when instructed by administration
Support classroom teachers with interpreting needs (primarily Portuguese)
Assist in scheduling conferences with families
Interpret for conferences and as needed and directed by administration
Report any information given from parents to administration, nurse, or secretary (sick calls, etc)
Maintain a log of family communication
