Route Manager

We are looking for a Route Manager in LaSalle, IL to join our team! The ideal candidate will live within 30 minutes of LaSalle, IL!

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday - might require weekends sparingly

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support designated route team by providing direction and helping solve problems
• Establish and maintain customer relationships with route's customer groups
• Complete contract renewals
• Audit customer experiences and coach route reps accordingly
• Identify opportunities for add on and new items for customers
• Proactively follow up on accounts in jeopardy and lost accounts
• Aid in recruiting, selection, hiring, and training of new hires
• Responsible for vehicle maintenance reporting and scheduling
• Enforce safety in all aspects of drivers' role
• Demonstrate the behaviors that is expected of an exceptional RSR
• Committed to own professional development and of team members development

Requirements:

• Be willing to train and cover on designated routes
• Possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Have the ability to solve problems and provide solutions
• Have solid computer skills including knowledge of MS Office software
• Have a clean Motor Vehicle Record, pass DOT background check
• Must be able to pass pre-employment requirements (drug/alcohol test, fit-for-duty test, DOT physical)
• Must have and maintain a safe driving record
• Have ability to work during all seasons with exposure to outside elements

• Ability to remain organized and balance incoming customer requests/issues in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to communicate effectively, patiently and politely with customers and team
• Must be able to use a phone, calculator, printer, and copier
• Ability to work with limited direction on a daily basis
• This is a physical job. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted, and be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, twist, lift, push and walk. Must be able to drive a truck/step van with ease and be able to sit for extended periods of time while driving the delivery truck
