Job Summary

The Teacher- Summer Robotics Camp must have a positive attitude and an aptitude for working with children. Experience with STEM and/or robotics preferred but not required.

General Accountabilities

• Excellent classroom management of students/campers ages 8-12 years.

• Excellent computer skills, including troubleshooting programs individually and with students.

• Ability to use (or willingness to learn) LEGO robotics kits and associated computer program.

• Ability to follow existing curriculum/programming.

• Willingness to improve upon existing curriculum a plus, but not required.

Competencies

• Classroom Management- ability to manage a group of five students, ages 8-12, of varying robotics skill/experience levels.

• Computer Skills- ability to troubleshoot any issues with a laptop and the computer program associated with the robotics kits.

• Curriculum- ability to work with existing staff to learn curriculum from prior years (and improve upon that curriculum if desired).

Required Education and Experience

• Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED and currently enrolled in a degree program in Education (or a related field) at an accredited college or university.

• Minimum Field-of-Expertise: 1-3 years working with children, preferably ages 8-12.

• Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Education or a related field.

• Preferred Experience: Some knowledge of STEM and/or robotics.

Job Types: Contract, Temporary

Pay: $1,200.00 per week
