Job Title: Teacher- Summer Robotics Camp

Hours: 20-40 weekly, two weeks only (June or July 2025)

Job Summary
The Teacher- Summer Robotics Camp must have a positive attitude and an aptitude for working with children. Experience with STEM and/or robotics preferred but not required.
General Accountabilities
- Excellent classroom management of students/campers ages 8-12 years.
- Excellent computer skills, including troubleshooting programs individually and with students.
- Ability to use (or willingness to learn) LEGO robotics kits and associated computer program.
- Ability to follow existing curriculum/programming.
- Willingness to improve upon existing curriculum a plus, but not required.
Competencies
- Classroom Management- ability to manage a group of five students, ages 8-12, of varying robotics skill/experience levels.
- Computer Skills- ability to troubleshoot any issues with a laptop and the computer program associated with the robotics kits.
- Curriculum- ability to work with existing staff to learn curriculum from prior years (and improve upon that curriculum if desired).
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED and currently enrolled in a degree program in Education (or a related field) at an accredited college or university.
- Minimum Field-of-Expertise: 1-3 years working with children, preferably ages 8-12.
- Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Education or a related field.
- Preferred Experience: Some knowledge of STEM and/or robotics.
