An employee in this class performs a variety of tasks associated with the maintenance and repair of the systems and equipment, and related utility components. Work includes performing preventive maintenance of the systems and equipment, and monitoring and regulating the systems equipment operations in accordance with an established schedule. This class is differentiated from the lower level class in the series by the responsibility for independently performing the full scope of work involved in troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating and installing HVAC pneumatic and electronic control systems and equipment. Work is performed under the supervision of a higher level maintenance superior and involves physical effort and exposure to disagreeable environmental conditions.
