What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Coordinator position at Philadelphia Ballet?
Summary/Objective
Reporting to the Marketing & Sales Manager - Brand, the Marketing Coordinator will support the Philadelphia Ballet marketing department with various aspects of marketing and advertising, including social media content creation, asset management, website maintenance, processing group sales, and complimentary ticket requests. This individual will work with various departments including Marketing, Development, Artistic, and Community Education and Public Programs (CEPP). The ideal candidate will be an organized self-motivator with a passion for the performing arts.
Essential Functions
· Drive Philadelphia Ballet’s main account social media efforts, including creating and coordinating digital content, maintaining content calendar and scheduling, and monitoring engagement and chat functions.
· Coordinate Digital Content and Digital Asset Management:
o Work to organize and catalog archival video files and backup storage.
o Manage vast photo collection and assist in attaining photo approvals, including servicing photos to other departments and selecting photos for use in advertising, marketing, and social media platforms.
· Contribute creative ideas and assist with promotional plans and opportunities for email marketing and marketing material creation.
· Communicate with photographers and videographers to schedule services both onsite and off-site in collaboration with the artistic coordinator/scheduler.
· Assist Marketing & Sales Manager in maintaining all aspects of Philadelphia Ballet’s website by coordinating website edits and improvements with various departments.
· Assist Marketing and Sales Managers with all aspects of group sales orders, including patron outreach, order processing through Ensemble Arts Philly's box office, payment collection, and order fulfillment to ensure a seamless experience for group ticket purchasers
· Assist Marketing and Sales Managers in processing and coordinating complimentary ticket requests from community partners, School of Philadelphia Ballet, and Philadelphia Ballet employees, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely fulfillment of requests.
· Represent the Marketing Department at various performances and community events.
o Assist with set-up and breakdown of marketing materials and coordinating the transportation of materials to events, including performances at Ensemble Arts Philly and other venues.
o Maintain supplies and a checklist of items needed for marketing outreach
· Other duties as assigned
Required Education & Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or a related field or equivalent relevant work experience
· Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Adobe Creative Suite
· Experience managing multiple social media accounts, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and X (formerly Twitter)
· Experience with Tessitura, Word Press, Later, and/or Dropbox preferred but not required.
· Video editing experience is a plus
· 1-3 years of experience in marketing or administrative coordination

Work Authorization/Security Clearance: Must provide satisfactory background checks and child abuse clearances as may be required for role.
