The Hotel Cleveland is seeking an experienced Banquet Cook to join our team. As a Banquet Cook, you will be working with our culinary team to prepare food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.
This Marriott Autograph Collection property opened in 1918, has 491 newly renovated rooms and 60,000 sq. ft. of meeting space.

- Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards, per check from servers.
- Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to over prepare estimated needs.
- Date all food containers and rotate as per Crescent standards, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures.
- Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up. Note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages. Assist in keeping buffet stocked.
- Return all food items not used on next shift to designated storage areas, being sure to cover/date all perishables.
- Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems, control food waste, loss and usage per Crescent standards.
- Operate, maintain and properly clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grill.
- Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
- At least one year of culinary experience is required.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts that include evening, weekends, and holidays.
- TABC certified, Tips Trained and Food Handlers certification are all highly preferred.
- The ideal candidate will be organized and able to work with a sense of urgency and seeking guest satisfaction.
- Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, transport up to 50 lbs.
