Position Overview
The Minor League Strength and Conditioning Coach will oversee all aspects of strength, mobility, speed, agility, flexibility, conditioning and recovery for every player at their given affiliate for the Philadelphia Phillies Baseball Organization. The primary function of this position is to take the program set forth by our Director of Strength and Conditioning and Minor League Strength and Conditioning Coordinator and properly introduce it to their assigned players. The Minor League Strength and Conditioning Coach will serve as a member of the performance staff.

Responsibilities
- Properly integrate a comprehensive strength and conditioning program to MiLB Players
- Collaborate with Dietitians on minor league catering at given affiliate
- Maintain a productive affiliate weight room
- Report necessary capital improvements to MiLB Strength Coordinator
- Execute in-season testing on a schedule set forth by MiLB Strength Coordinator
- Attend Spring Training and help with all testing and implementation of strength program
- Yearly visit to Dominican Academy to aid with program implementation
- Assist performance and conditioning testing on Minor League players
- Input testing data into our Athlete Management System
- Individualize assigned athletes tissue prep and strength program based on testing
- Lead daily warm-ups with the athletes
- Aid with MLB Strength Training at the guidance of the Director
- Daily cleaning of the Carpenter Complex weight room
- Lead strength and conditioning program for the athletes at given affiliate
- Complete performance testing on players at the frequency set forth by MiLB Coordinator
- Daily reports and compliance entry to be completed on our AMS
- Provide training plan for rehabilitation players, if any, at affiliate
- Continue assessment of player dashboards as it pertains to continued testing
- Assist MiLB dietitian in the ordering of pre-game and post-game meals for athletes, both home and on the road
- Complete pre-season, mid-season and end of season self-evaluation forms
- Integrate the Rookie Development Program for all newly drafted players into our system, if applicable
- Participate in monthly Zoom calls with the Strength and Conditioning Staff
- Provide end of season goals for affiliate roster
- Perform any other task designated by the Minor League Strength and Conditioning Coordinator
- Participate in all off-season Zoom calls/meetings
- Attend at least one Continue Education event
- Attend Organizational Meetings
- Communicate with assigned players on a bi-monthly basis for check-ups and program compliance
- Attend the off-season strength camp as directed by MiLB Strength Coordinator
- Potentially aid the Director of Strength and Conditioning Coach for in person player follow ups
- BS in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field
- Active CSCS through the National Strength and Conditioning Association
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in strength and conditioning working with elite athletes at the professional or collegiate level
- MS in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field
- Active RSCC through the National Strength and Conditioning Association
- Proficiency in Spanish language
