Organization Overview:
The Philadelphia Youth Sports Collaborative (“PYSC”) is a registered 501c3 organization whose mission is to enrich the lives of every child through the power of sports by collaborating with community-based providers and public agencies to develop accessible sports-based development programs. PYSC currently has over 100 non-profit member organizations serving youth throughout Philadelphia (www.pysc.org).
JOB OVERVIEW:
Under the direction of the Director of Operations, the Program Coordinator (“Coordinator”) will be responsible for supporting the implementation of several programmatic initiatives, including but not limited to Member training and events, PYSC Girls Initiative events, Hello Insight Outcome Measurement, and other initiatives as assigned.
The Coordinator will provide administrative support and coordination for programs that engage multiple partners and stakeholders and will be expected to be creative, flexible, and organized to meet all program deliverables. The Coordinator must have the ability to deal effectively with multiple stakeholders, including the staff of PYSC member organizations, partners, and other outside organizations.
The Coordinator understands and believes in the mission of PYSC and is willing to be an ongoing advocate for our organization, our partners, and the youth that we serve together. He/she/they should be detail and results-oriented, creative, and administratively capable.
The Coordinator will be a highly collaborative individual, and communicate regularly with the Chief Program and Evaluation Officer, the Director of Community Engagement, and Program Managers.
The position is based at the PYSC offices in Center City Philadelphia and is hybrid. The Coordinator is expected to spend a minimum of 2 days in the office.
Program Coordinator Responsibilities Include:
Program Coordination
- Implement strategies to achieve both short-term and long-term goals and objectives to ensure the successful outcome of member programs
- Communicate with external partners, and internal team members throughout the implementation of the programs to ensure success and make improvements
- Develop and utilize appropriate documentation for any program activities
- Ensure that all program activities operate within the policies and procedures of the organization
Event Planning and Management
- Manage scheduling for member-related events and trainings, including space reservations, ordering supplies, ordering food, scheduling trainers, etc.
- Work closely with the communications team to develop and implement communications necessary to ensure successful event attendance.
Member Communications & Database Management
- Maintain records in Neon One CRM and ensure the database is up to date.
- Manage monthly communications and information sent to members in collaboration with the Communications team.
- Other member-related database management and reporting as needed.
Outcome Measurement
- Under the direction of the Chief Program and Evaluation Officer, implement the Hello Insight tool with designated users and ensure uniform delivery and understanding of the purpose of the tool
- Participate in the development of program evaluation framework as required, and ensure all measurement in the field is done within this framework
- Support the work of the Directors on any data collection, outcome measurement, and other research activities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
A successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment, yet enough of a self-starter to work independently on programs and partnerships without ongoing supervision
- Strong proficiency in Google Suite applications is required
- Ability to quickly learn computer applications
- Strong personal communication skills and strong writing skills
Compensation:
Salary for this role is $50,000
