What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rehab Office Coordinator position at Philip Health Services?
Customer Service
Perform clerical duties, such as taking inventory, ordering supplies, answering telephone, taking messages, or filling our forms.
Provides clerical and administrative support, to include bookkeeping, receptionist, scheduling, data entry and other services.
- Processes patient accounts to ensure patients are billed correctly and timely
- Processes all Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial claims for Philip Health Services
- Actively works to achieve patient accounts receivable goals, ensuring a positive cash flow for the organization
- Reviews and processes outstanding patient accounts and determines status and method of collection to process the claim accurately and successfully
Scheduling:
- Schedules patients based on their therapy schedule, personal availability and therapist availability
Communication:
- Interacts cooperatively with patients and third party payers to promote prompt payment
- Completes patient admission process including obtaining all appropriate intake information and insurance verification/authorization
- Communicates with the Rehab Director regarding accounts requiring resolution

Qualifications/Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience:
- Proficient in MS office and data entry; working knowledge of EPIC software is preferred
- Comfortable with mathematics and financial data
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous medical office experience is preferred
