PMI’s U.S. affiliate is on a mission to improve public health. We’re doing that by providing the 45 million American nicotine consumers - 30 million of whom smoke or use other traditional tobacco – with innovative products that help them switch to better alternatives.
We're seeking a seasoned and mission-driven communicator to lead our U.S. consumer awareness and education campaigns. You will be responsible for shaping and executing our smoke-free product narratives in collaboration with our category leadership teams. We are looking for a strategic thinker with a passion for and experience with consumer product brand-building, who brings an understanding of regulated industries and an enthusiasm for improving public health.
Your ‘day to day’:
- Develop and implement comprehensive communications strategies that align with our brand Communication goals and resonate with stakeholders and target audiences
- Manage priorities, events and activations for the U.S. portfolio introductions in various cities
- Develop campaign approaches/standards/best practices for US including events, thought leadership, media opportunities, etc. based on benchmarking and data.
- Devise an owned, earned and shared strategy for increasing awareness, education and engagement with key stakeholders
- Create written communication collateral to increase awareness of product technology and innovation advancements
- Work with agency partners and internal teams to ensure the delivery of high-impact and measurable consumer campaigns and initiatives
- Main contact for agency team for this work
- Build and nurture relationships with key opinion leaders
- Monitor industry trends, public sentiment, pop culture and other relevant activities to generate creative campaign strategies
- Lead nicotine education campaign approach, specific to U.S. market
- Combine national and hyper-local approaches to drive understanding around current product portfolio and future product launches
- Plan and manage multiple projects and events from inception to completion
- Ensure team is alerted to risks and opportunities
Who we’re looking for:
- B.A. or B.S. Degree
- 15 Relevant experience in Healthcare Communications or Public Relations and consumer launch experience in fast-moving consumer goods campaigns
- Communications experience within a regulated industry
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging, compelling narratives
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- Experience working effectively cross-functionally in large organizations to ensure collaboration
- Proficiency in managing media relationships and securing accurate coverage
- Experience working within regulated industries
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and bring them to life
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Culturally agile and adaptable
- Self-starter
Annual Base Salary Range: $176,300-235,000
