Your ‘day To Day’

As Lab Technician you will be part of our Quality Department at Triaga Inc. a fully owned subsidiary of Philip Morris International and will report to the Supervisor QA. The position will be based in Wilson, NC.

Your Responsibilities

• Analysis and Control on the Quality of products and processes:
• Plan and perform sampling, tests and analyses (physical/chemical) on the quality of raw materials, semi-finished and finished products according to applicable procedures, analytical methods, testing strategies, and specifications.
• Ensure the integrity and the timely reporting of analysis results in the appropriate system for the execution of certificate of analysis.
• Analyze data, document and track trends to ensure laboratory processes are within control.
• Perform laboratory investigations and root cause analyses of nonconforming results.
• Verify the complete alignment of incoming materials, semi-finished and Finished Goods to specifications during standard production and/or during process and new product qualification.
• Ensure the management of samples - from collection, coding, analysis, and retention storage, in complete respect of Triaga Inc. standards.
• Ensure Laboratory Accuracy
• Use, verify and calibrate Quality equipment as per Triaga Inc. & ISO requirements, in due time, and in order to ensure the accuracy of results.
• Prepare and maintain logbooks for equipment according to Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
• Create, update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Ensure compliance with QMS requirements and follow standards for ISO 17025 and ISO 9001.
• Interdepartmental Collaboration
• Communicate information to concerned colleagues and support teams in order to meet quality and productivity in a timely manner.
• Promote and apply all rules concerning Triaga Inc. quality, environment, health and safety.
• Investigate and resolve deviations, raise or initiate nonconformities, and contribute to defining appropriate corrective actions.
• Propose and follow-up quality improvement ideas in production or other processes in laboratory.
• Analyze information and participate in small projects with influence on product quality.
  
  

Who We’re Looking For

• Vocational training, degree (laboratory, sciences), or relevant skills through proven experience
• 2 or more years of experience in a laboratory environment
• Experience with gas chromatography
• Familiar with Good Documentation Practices
• Computer literate
• Ability to utilize electronic spreadsheets to perform data analysis
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• MUST BE legally authorized to work in the US
• MUST BE within commutable distance to Wilson NC
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand, bend, twist, and crouch as needed 8/10/12 hours during a shift. Must be able to bend and lift various weights up to 25lbs if needed during shift.
