NPI Program Manager
Job Summary:
The NPI Program Manager is responsible for ensuring that plants are prepared to launch new products, mid-cycle enhancements, and major projects. This role requires coordinating activities to ensure systems, equipment, and tracking programs are completed on time and in compliance with company standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate activities to ensure timely completion of plant systems and equipment tracking programs.
- Implement a 'Red Flag' process to address missing key quality or timing elements during launches.
- Provide accurate and timely reports of launch activity to upper management.
- Collaborate with support departments to stay focused on launch objectives.
- Prepare for simultaneous launches and communicate program requirements to relevant individuals.
- Address facility capabilities and resolve issues prior to critical dates.
- Sustain ISO 9001 Business Systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 5-7 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Previous program management and launch experience.
- General knowledge of operations, including scheduling, procurement, manufacturing, test engineering, and quality systems.
- Understanding of finance, including product income statements and return on investment analysis.
- Able to track, drill-down, and question activities and make sound business decisions.
- Strong influence-management, negotiation, leadership, and assertiveness skills.
- Excellent presentation and attention-to-detail skills.
