The Commercial Data Developer supports the Market Analysts, Strategists and Traders by developing and maintaining data solutions. In addition, this position will support ad-hoc requests from Senior Management, various Commercial groups, the Chief Economist's Office, and Investor Relations. The analyst will primarily develop solutions which allow analysts and strategists to leverage and enhance existing data; while developing a strong understanding of commodity pricing, seasonality, and supply and demand drivers related to energy markets.
Responsibilities May Include
- Providing market analytical support for Commercial by developing and implementing tools and analyses to improve the efficiency and consistency of information communicated across the global Commercial organization.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining data capture tools that allow Market Analysts and Strategists to enhance existing data using Django and Angular.
- Developing and maintaining data pipelines and visualizations using Databricks, Data Factory, and Power BI.
- Leading ad-hoc projects and analysis to support Market Analysts, Strategists and Traders.
- Assisting Strategists in developing predictive models for markets, using fundamental and technical data, as appropriate.
- Leading information gathering processes and development of presentation packages as needed.
- Working to improve existing tools and processes used by the Commercial organization.
- Sharing knowledge freely and improving the team's development capabilities.
