Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Business Development & Sales Manager to lead new business initiatives, grow sales across multiple channels, and expand brand's presence in the market. This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in apparel industry sales, including digital/e-commerce, B2B, retail, and wholesale, and a knack for building strong partnerships and scalable growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Growth & Business Expansion
- Identify and secure new B2B partnerships, wholesale accounts, and retail opportunities.
- Drive revenue growth across e-commerce, retail, wholesale, and corporate sales channels.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans with measurable KPIs.
- Lead outbound outreach, pitch decks, and relationship management.
Digital & E-Commerce Sales
- Manage and optimize brand’s e-commerce strategy, ensuring a seamless shopping experience and high conversion rates.
- Partner with the marketing team to implement campaigns that drive online traffic and DTC sales.
- Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Shopify, Klaviyo) to monitor and improve e-commerce performance.
Wholesale & Retail Channel Development
- Build and maintain relationships with specialty outdoor retailers, tackle shops, lifestyle boutiques, and larger chain stores.
- Represent the brand at trade shows, expos, and networking events.
- Negotiate wholesale pricing, order terms, and re-order programs.
Strategic Partnerships & B2B Sales
- Explore and grow relationships with corporate partners, promotional clients, and group sales opportunities (e.g., fishing tournaments, resorts, guides).
- Create bundled offerings, incentive programs, and promotional plans tailored to each segment.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with leadership, marketing, operations, and design to align growth strategies with brand goals and production capabilities.
- Track sales performance, forecasts, and trends to inform decision-making and reporting.
Qualifications
- 5 years of business development and sales experience in the apparel industry (preferably outdoor, performance, or lifestyle).
- Proven success in growing e-commerce revenue and developing wholesale/B2B accounts.
- Deep understanding of digital sales tools (Shopify, Klaviyo, Google Analytics, CRMs).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to travel for trade shows, partner meetings, and business development.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for the outdoors, fishing, or coastal living is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000/year
