STATUS/HOURS: On-call, hours are after 4:00pm mid-week, and weekends 8:00am – 11:00pm. Schedule may vary according to departmental and Academy needs.

Position Purpose
Oversees the evening and weekend functioning of Academy Center activities and facility.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervises students in the building, including those in the day student lounge.
- Engages with students in a professional and friendly manner, reminding them to clean up after themselves and addressing any behavior issues as appropriate.
- Checks condition of rooms and equipment upon arrival and departure, straightens and cleans up as necessary.
- Maintains a visible presence in the building throughout the shift, walking through the building every half hour.
- Helps supervise dances, parties or other special events both in Academy Center and at other venues on campus as needed.
- Keeps up-to-date on emergency procedures and is prepared to implement when necessary.
- Assists with set up of rooms and audiovisual equipment as needed.
- Assists in securing the building at the end of each shift.
- Performs data entry and/or word processing as requested.
- Reports any damage or unsafe conditions to the Director.
- Communicates with colleagues by using the Building Log on a regular basis.

Position Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Some college experience helpful.
Experience
- Experience working with adolescents in an educational setting preferred.

Additional Requirements
- Successfully complete a criminal background check (reviewed every 5 years).
- This position is considered “Essential Personnel” in the event that:
- an emergency occurs on the PEA Campus or in the vicinity that would impact PEA;
- inclement weather forces the closing of campus or;
- other emergency events deemed appropriate.
Essential Personnel are required to report to or remain at work if instructed to do so if contacted directly by the supervisor (or his/her designee), the Principal or a member of the Principal’s Staff (Leadership Team).
