Team Lead

Overview:

As a Team Lead, you will have the opportunity to lead the production of a team of Phillips team members; one of your main focuses will be motivating the team to execute the production requirements for a shift. You will be responsible for engaging the team during a shift to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, performance, and engagement. To achieve this, Team Leads are expected to provide the associates with the tools needed for success as well as drive productivity and efficiency through decisions and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Model the behaviors we expect from all team members
• Supporting all safety programs and OSHA and ISO compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all team members
• Executing team performance goals and objectives to achieve customer promise expectations and ensure accuracy and quality
• Executing productivity plans by reviewing work forecasts, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with other Production Leads to balance labor
• Communicating policies to team members and act as the primary information source for the team
• Maintaining compliance and consistency and taking corrective action when needed
• Supporting and participating in recognition and communication programs

Functional Abilities

• Ability to work in a production capacity of a minimum of 85% of each shift
• Lifting and moving material up to 49 pounds each
• Bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head
• Frequent walking in the building and around area
• Standing and walking for up to 10-12 hours a day
• Operating powered industrial trucks
• Identifying parts, reading instructions, entering data and completing appropriate forms
• Communicating with team members and other departments, suppliers, and customers

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• One (1) or more years in a distribution environment; three (3) or more years heavy duty distribution environment preferred
