What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Health Project Manager position at PHMC?

The Project Manager supports the workflow of client referrals, serves as the point of contact for questions, manages screening tools, engages project partners and stakeholders, and creates and plans trainings among other project management tasks. This
Project is grant funded through July 2024 however long-term sustainability is a major focus for the project.

This position is in Philadelphia. The Project Manager will report directly to the Director of Community Partnerships.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will be responsible for all day-to-day management of the grant activities. Including: scheduling and planning
collaborative meetings, ensuring all meetings are well documented, regular communication with all partners. The Project
Manager will be responsible for managing partnership contracts and monitoring the budget and expenditures. This position
will also supervise a project coordinator.
1. Project Oversight:
a. Oversee all aspects of the expansion project including day-to-day operations and compliance with project
deliverable.
b. Monitor project expenditures, with support of Director of Community Partnership.
c. Communicate regularly with project partners (e.g., home visiting agencies, legal partner, funder).
d. Schedule and facilitate project meetings internally and externally.
e. Create and manage partner contracts.
2. Staff Oversight:
a. Supervise staff supporting the project such as an AmeriCorps Vista member and/or student intern(s)
b. Delegate tasks while providing support and follow-up.
c. Complete regular check-ins and performance reviews to support project success through employee satisfaction.
3. Strategic Partnership Development:
a. Represent NNCC's expansion services at local, state and national conferences.
b. Support preparation of abstracts and conference presentations
c. Identify and engage in local community groups to support goals and deliverables of the project.
SKILLS:
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to express yourself concisely and clearly
• Experience with Project Management tools like Smartsheet
• Experience developing training and educational materials to present to a large audience
• Familiarity with preventive public health initiatives and social determinants of health
• Confidence to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work collaboratively on a team including internal and external
partners
• Experience organizing and facilitating collaborative meetings
• Strong supervisory skills including active listening, and solutions-oriented thinking
• Work clearances that include FBI, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Child Clearance, Criminal Check and
others required by Public Health Management Corporation.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• At least two years of experience in development, program management for public health or related field
• Very strong organizational and managerial skills, including the ability to: prioritize work projects, execute
multiple important tasks, support management of program budgets, supervise staff, manage time
effectively and communicate clearly with supervisors
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
• Experience with webinar and/or virtual meeting hosting and management
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
• Master’s Degree preferred in Public Health, Organizational Development, Non- Profit Administration, or
related degree
SALARY: Pay Grade 19
