Licenses and Certifications
Preferred Certifications / Licensures : Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) within 12 months of hire.
Required Certifications / Licensures : Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)
Essential Functions
DOCUMENTATION :
Documents and submits required information and data in a timely fashion.

TEAM LEADER RESPONSIBILITIES :
Responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the various sections of the Central Sterile Processing areas to ensure instruments are processed in a timely manner and staff is staying on task and allocated appropriately to meet the demands of the department.
Accountable for the safety and quality of sterilization procedures.
Works directly with Sterile Processing Technicians in carrying out objectives.
Direct and assigns work to auxiliary personnel.
Established instrument standardization program.
Inspires confidence by performing and communicating in a highly professional manner at all times.
Maintain awareness of changes in protocols / procedures of the department.
Produces work with minimal clerical / charting error, including omission.
Maintains proper functioning of instruments and equipment; coordinates repair when needed.
Maintain adequate supplies and equipment, coordinates the ordering and delivery of equipment, and as needed performed year-end inventory of supplies.
Produces departmental reporting as needed.
Additional Duties
Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines.
Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization.
Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures.
Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs).

For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills.
Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.
