We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team for weekend night shifts. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient care and work in a dynamic environment where your expertise is valued.
General Requirements :
Follow hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines rigorously.
Execute all job responsibilities in alignment with the organization's core values, mission, and vision.
Undertake additional duties as required and adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
Engage in continuous self-education and attend ongoing educational programs to maintain up-to-date knowledge.
Participate in staff meetings and complete all mandatory in-services and competency evaluations punctually.
Demonstrate competency in providing patient care tailored to individual needs, taking into account age, sex, weight, and specific requirements.
Wear appropriate protective clothing and equipment as necessary.
Working Conditions :
Work environment is well-lit and air-conditioned, with moderate noise levels.
May experience exposure to high noise levels and bright lights.
Possibility of exposure to hazardous substances or body fluids, including infectious organisms.
Be prepared to switch tasks as needed while maintaining efficiency and composure.
Work may entail periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads.
Scheduling may include overtime as needed.
Qualifications :
Education : Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy (required).
Experience : 1 - 2 years of experience in Respiratory Therapy (required).
Certifications : Required certifications include Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) for NICU RRT only.
General Skills :
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and customer relations expertise.
Proficient in mathematical and analytical tasks.
Good command of grammar and spelling.
Adept at reading and comprehending written instructions and following verbal instructions.
Basic computer skills are essential.
Physical Requirements :
Near normal vision with clarity to distinguish colors and both near and far vision.
Good manual dexterity and eye-hand-foot coordination.
Able to perform repetitive tasks and motions.
Physical Demands :
Frequently required to stand (34-66% of the shift).
Walking is frequently required (34-66% of the shift).
Sitting is occasionally required (1-33% of the shift).
Occasional climbing (1-33% of the shift).
Bending / stooping occasionally (1-33% of the shift).
Twisting at the waist occasionally (1-33% of the shift).
Pushing / pulling occasionally (1-33% of the shift).
Occasionally reaching above shoulder (1-33% of the shift).
