Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Team Leader to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. This position will also include the Team Lead to be hands on. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of construction management, and the ability to effectively manage teams and resources. This role requires a proactive approach to project scheduling and adherence to safety standards, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and to the highest quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise construction teams, ensuring all members are motivated and working effectively towards project goals.
- Develop and manage project schedules using construction management software, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, enforce safety protocols (including OSHA compliance), and maintain high-quality standards.
- Review schematics and contracts to ensure all work aligns with project specifications and client expectations.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, clients to facilitate smooth operations throughout the construction process.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members on best practices in construction management and safety procedures.
- Prepare reports on project status, challenges, and achievements for upper management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction ( general, carpentry to include decks and roofing) construction management or a related field with a strong understanding of project scheduling techniques.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Proficiency in using construction management software such as Busy Busy for effective project tracking.
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage multiple teams effectively.
- Knowledge of reading schematics and interpreting technical documents related to construction projects.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- A problem-solving mindset with the capability to troubleshoot issues as they arise on-site.
