What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatch Coordinator position at Phoenix Crane Service?
The Dispatch Coordinator position requires an individual that can manage dynamic and complex situations. The position requires a self-starter who is very detailed, task driven, and operationally focused. Strong communication skills are a requirement. A Dispatch Coordinator position requires 50-60 hours per week and the ability to work remotely on nights and weekends. This is a customer service and solutions position.
RESPONSIBILITIES (list is not inclusive)
Core Responsibilities
- Must manage communications through multiple channels daily. (Phone, E-mail, etc.…)
- Must be able to manage daily, weekly, and monthly schedules and work directly with the internal sales team members, operations management, and the service team.
- Communicate scheduling activities between customers, sales, the operations team, operators, and truck drivers
- Keep detailed notes on customer interactions and activities
- Assist in preparation of documents relative to Accounts Receivables (Purchase Order procurement)
- Must be proficient with applications to aide in Dispatch operations, i.e., Visual Dispatch, Google Earth / Maps, MS Office Suite
- Able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and meet deadlines
- Responsible for ensuring data entry accuracy & scheduling efficiency
- Assist in Monitoring operator / driver hours and yard time
- Assist with the management of equipment such as spreader bars, man baskets, trailers, and additional non-crane related inventory
- Must be able to work independently and effectively with minimal direct supervision.
- Must communicate clearly and efficiently to all PCS Corporate departments as required (Operations, Office / Clerical, Sales, Dispatch, and Service)
- Must understand equipment capabilities and be knowledgeable with FMCSA / OSHA / MSHA / etc.… rules and regulations
- Knowledgeable and compliant with all PCS Policies, Procedures and Operating Guidelines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Must comply with PCS’s Drug Free Workplace Testing Program.
Ability to work independently with a high attention to detail

General product knowledge of cranes and capabilities
