Job Title: Software Quality Assurance Analyst
Location: Southfield, MI or remote
Position Type: Full-time, Salaried
Position Overview
We are looking for a QA Specialist for our flagship AIMS 3 product, a clinical and facility engineering Computerized Maintenance Management System. Our development team follows Agile / Scrum and modern tooling such as Angular, Microsoft .NET with Entity Framework and Microsoft SQL Server. This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing company with the ability to have an immediate impact. The position is primarily technical yet also calls for leadership and the ability to perform training.
Key Responsibilities
Own the testing process from writing test plans and automation to performing testing and teaching others best practices
Have a strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycles and particularly Quality Assurance methodologies
Keep up to date on the latest build, modifying test plans and automation accordingly
Develop test plans for specifications under development during the sprint
Identify and build high-value test automation
Implement automation testing process using best practices
Monitor test automation runs and report issues to the development team
Analyze test coverage, working with development and product management, to ensure the highest value areas are covered
Coordinate regression testing for major releases between testers and automation and determine when the release is ready to distribute
Coordinate mandatory pass testing for minor releases between testers and automation and determine when the release is ready to distribute
Perform manual testing as needed
Required Qualifications And Skills
Excellent verbal and written communications
Keen attention to detail
Creative and innovative thinker
Must have experience in the software development environment
Highly proficient using PCs with Windows operating system
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with automated testing suites desired
Ability to construct and execute SQL Statements
BA or BS in Information Systems preferred with 3 years related experience
Preferred Skills
Experience with SQL Server, Visual Studios, Windows Servers, MS Web Server (IIS) and mobile devices, and Atlassian products (Confluence, Jira, etc.)
Experience or familiarity with the Scrum development methodology
User interface graphic design skills and experience with graphics and prototyping software
