Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the volunteer training and orientation program for Phoenix
- Provide volunteers with assignments. Reviews plan of care (if necessary) before patient visit.
- Maintain volunteer personnel files
- Attend meeting and activities
- Maintain monthly stats
- Foster open line of communication with volunteers
- Periodic supervisory visits
- Volunteer performance evaluations
- Ensuring time sheets and visit notes are completed and submitted
- Review visit notes to ensure the plan of care is being followed
- Assume responsibility for self-development by continually striving to improve practice through formal education, workshops, conferences, and professional organizations.
- Supervisory and/or leadership experience
- Hospice experience preferred
- Ability to communicate well; both verbally and in writing
- Must be reliable, have a great attitude, and possess a strong work-ethic
- Must be detailed, accurate, organized and have the ability to multi-task
