SUMMARY:
The Community Outreach Associate reports to the Director of Development and Commuinications. The Community Outreach Associate needs to understand the clinical services provided in treatment, as well as knowledge of the workforce, types of clients we serve as it relates to outreach marketing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
- Identify target markets and referral partners
- Develop, implement, and report on Outreach and Marketing plans
- Develop and maintain current and new referral relations
- Design and conduct workshops and trainings with outside agencies
- Work with Development, Admissions and Clinical teams to develop and coordinate outreach events and activities
- Maintain ample supply of outreach materials
- Propose new materials and ideas targeting new markets based on outreach research
- Work with Development team, to respond to inquiries about Phoenix House NY|LI, write letters and acknowledgements
- Provide administrative support to Development team, as necessary
- Develop and collaborate with staff to post to social media, website, and follow-up on digital inquires
- Will travel throughout New York City and Long Island for events, etc.

Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Services, Marketing, PR or related field
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

At least one year of experience in Outreach or related discipline

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently

Comfortable attending, tabling at, and networking at Outreach events independently
WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in an indoor office and outdoor environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Will travel through out New York City and Long Island.
