Phoenix International Publications, Inc. is seeking a talented Marketing Coordinator to join our team and provide marketing support for our trade and school & library business for both print and digital books.
MARKETING COORDINATOR :
As a Marketing Coordinator at Phoenix International Publications, Inc. your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including creating social media posts, writing sales copy, and acting as the primary marketing account holder for Edelweiss. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to grow their skills and contribute to our school and library line.
Content Management
- Act as the primary marketing contact for Edelweiss, managing catalog updates for both new and backlist titles, including updates on covers, reviews, descriptions, and additional metadata.
- Collaborate in the development and execution of comprehensive marketing plans for new titles, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and maximizing visibility across school, library, and trade markets.
- Collaborate with the eCommerce team to enhance visibility and optimize Amazon listings specifically for school and library titles, leveraging targeted marketing approaches for this audience.
- Develop and oversee social media marketing strategies for school and library audiences, including monthly performance analysis and insights for continuous improvement.
- Create, design, and schedule social media content for school and library markets.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to develop targeted marketing assets, including high-impact graphics with quick turnarounds to support digital sales.
- Coordinate with the sales department to write and edit compelling marketing sales points that drive engagement across channels.
Advertising, Partnerships, and Public Relations
- Work directly with the Marketing Manager on ad approvals and ongoing discussions with industry publications, including Publishers Weekly, School Library Journal, and Booklist, ensuring all promotions align with strategic goals.
- Assist in planning and coordinating library branch events, such as author storytimes, to increase community engagement and brand presence in educational spaces.
Communication and Audience Engagement
- Create and distribute two monthly eBlasts for each audience segment (School & Library and Trade, four total), fostering engagement with curated audiences.
- Research and develop relationships with influencers in the school and library sectors, building partnerships to boost visibility.
Additional Responsibilities
- Coordinate catalog mailings and support trade show initiatives.
- Input review and award data into Biblio.
- Follow customer, partner, competitor, and industry association trends.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Visual Communication, or related field preferred.
- Detail-oriented approach with ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with management and team members at all levels through both verbal and written means, using clear language and visualizations to simplify complexity.
- Experience with Edelweiss is a plus.
