The City Prosecutor's Office offers a fast-paced criminal litigation practice which handles the prosecution of misdemeanor crimes committed in Phoenix, such as assault, shoplifting, theft, prostitution, driving under the influence, and other criminal offenses. As a prosecutor you will have the opportunity to gain immediate courtroom experience with bench and jury trials; empower victims through support and resources; and engage with communities and neighborhoods. This role offers work that fulfills a greater purpose and has opportunities for growth and development.
This dynamic position includes the following contributions :
- Negotiating plea agreements designed to improve the lives of the parties involved, as well as our community.
- Participating in arraignments and pretrial-disposition conferences.
- Conducting bench and jury trials, participating in motion hearings and oral arguments, and covering daily court appearances.
- Discussing, researching, and presenting analysis of legal issues.
- Reviewing and / or initiating charges.
This position may be eligible for hybrid teleworking options, implemented at the discretion of the Department Director.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
SALARY
Pay Range : $95,451.20 to $134,326.40 annually.
Hiring Range : $95,451.20 to $116,022.40 annually.
