We seek an Accounting Manager - Controller to join our client's team . Position open due to growth. Reporting to the CFO, You are a self-starter who can work in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Real estate Development experience is required.
Qualifications
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.
5 years of progressive experience in the field of accounting / finance.
Experience in Real Estate |Construction as well as Yardi software experience a plus.
Essential Functions
Supervising and directing day-to-day activities for all general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset accounting and financial reporting.
Experience with job costing required
Managing the company's Accounts Payable department and Accounting staff, including mentoring, developing, and retaining those staff members.
Managing the month-end closing process and other related entities, including making journal entries, preparing account reconciliations and other closing activities.
Preparing accurate and timely financial statements and management reports.
Identifying, aggregating, and analyzing data to support management decision-making.
Monitoring, tracking, and ensuring timely filing of regulatory applications, including prequalifications and business licenses.
Assist with processing and / or calculating debt, real estate taxes, sales tax, margin tax, deferred rent and owner distributions . Ensure proper recording of purchased and sold projects as well as loan refinancing. Review the presentation of fixed assets for appropriate depreciation / amortization.
Participating actively in business process improvement projects.
