We are seeking a dedicated Certified Peer Specialist / Community Support Associate to join our team. The Certified Peer Specialist / Community Support Associate will provide support and guidance to individuals facing substance use & co-occurring disorders by sharing in lived experiences and offering encouragement, accountability and resources.
Responsibilities
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage with clients
- Provide peer support and mentorship to individuals in need
- Assist clients in developing coping strategies and setting achievable goals
- Collaborate with the treatment team to create individualized care plans
- Offer crisis intervention and support during challenging situations
- Advocate for clients within the healthcare system and community resources
- Transportation when required - Hands on learning activities
Qualifications
- Certification as a Peer Specialist & Community Support Associate
- Experience in a substance use and or co-occurring setting
- Knowledge of crisis management and intervention strategies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
- Familiarity with systems that support individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders
- Flexibility with day and evening hours
Phoenix Recovery is an outpatient facility targeting women and women with children that have substance use & co-occurring disorders. We are looking for a CPSS / CSA to facilitate & assist with IOP groups and evening Psychoeducational groups. Along with extra support and accountability in our recovery homes. That specific schedule can be discussed.
Position is 1099. Pay related to experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed
