Individual Support & Recovery Planning
Phoenix Recovery Services, LLC is an IDHS/SUPR licensed organization providing Recovery Home services for men and women aged 18 and older. Our mission is to offer a structured, homelike environment where individuals diagnosed with substance use disorder can acquire the skills and support necessary to achieve lasting abstinence.
We are guided by our core values: Community, Outstanding Service, Relationship, and Empowerment. As a Recovery Specialist, you will play a key role in fostering these principles while delivering compassionate, professional, and courteous service to all residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Work directly with residents to develop personalized recovery plans and set meaningful, achievable goals.
- Regularly assess, track, and document progress, helping residents overcome barriers to positive change.
Case Management & Documentation
- Deliver case management services, maintaining compliance with audit requirements.
- Complete and maintain accurate records, including intake forms, shift reports, staffing reports, and electronic records (FYIdb).
Testing & Monitoring
- Administer random urine drug screens and breathalyzer tests.
- Report any positive results to leadership and maintain inventory of testing supplies.
Partnership Development
- Collaborate with social service agencies to connect residents with resources such as community organizations, recovery supports, workforce development programs, and medical/behavioral health services.
Resident Oversight & Engagement
- Monitor residents' adherence to recovery programs and self-medication practices, maintaining accurate logs.
- Encourage a supportive, recovery-focused community by facilitating discussions about rules, integration, and recovery-oriented decisions.
Team Collaboration
- Participate in staff meetings and serve as an active member of the recovery team, contributing to decisions about recovery plans, conflict resolution, and resident privileges.
- Support team efforts in coordinating resident events and maintaining a consistent environment for recovery.
Emergency Response
- Provide on-call coverage for emergencies as needed.
Compliance & Confidentiality
- Uphold confidentiality standards as per HIPAA and organizational policies.
- Adhere to all Phoenix Recovery policies, including internal, regulatory, and legal requirements.
Qualifications
- Certification as NCRS, CPRS, or CRSS (or commitment to obtain certification within two years).
- Prior experience with substance use recovery or working in a group home setting is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license is a plus.
- Strong communication, phone, computer, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with social service agencies and substance use disorder services is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Section 2060.509 Recovery Homes and HIPAA compliance standards.
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- Capacity to work irregular hours and respond to emergencies at any time.
