Position Summary:
As our Benefits/HR Specialist, you will work as our organization's sole benefits administrator while applying your HR expertise in many ways! Your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities, from assisting with employee relations to overseeing benefits processing.

Essential Functions:
- Guide employees through benefit enrollment for both internal and field employees
- Oversee Open Enrollment
- Process all documentation for benefits administration
- Process Long- and Short-Term Disability Claims, FMLA, and ADA claims as needed
- Handle all unemployment claims processing
- Manage all Workers Compensation injury reporting, investigations and claims
- Assist with the 401(k) and Profit Sharing plans
- Address all benefits-related inquiries from employees
- Educate employees on maximizing their benefit plans
- Employ conflict resolution skills for both internal and external situations
- Handle all employee relations matters with professionalism and confidentiality
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or equivalent experience required
- Previous benefits experience is essential in both Michigan and Ohio
- Previous Workers Compensation and Unemployment claims processing in both Michigan and Ohio
- Excellent computer skills, particularly in MS Office
- Demonstrated experience with complex benefit programs
- Strong analytical skills, with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines independently
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate resourcefulness in problem-solving
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
