Experienced Cincinnati Centerless Grinder Operator needed for a growing machine shop in Brighton! This direct hire position offers a full benefits package, competitive pay, and a 401k plan with match!
Shift Information:
2nd shift schedule is 3:15pm-11:45pm (1:45am with overtime)
Must be able to train on 1st shift (7am-3:30pm) initially
Job Responsibilities:
- Ability to set up, program, select work holding, tooling, and run intermediate parts.
- Reads job package, job card, traveler, and blue prints for product specifications, dimensions, tolerances, batch size, and tooling instructions.
- Selects, aligns, and secures work holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials on Cincinnati Grinder.
- Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speeds and feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
- Measures work piece for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators and gages.
Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, at least 6 months relevant CNC Grinding experience, and the ability to read and interpret basic blue prints, the ability to use micrometers, calipers, gages, dial indicators, and hand tools. Must also be able to identify and have a working knowledge of various materials such as steel, brass, etc.
