We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator for a growing chemical manufacturer in the Wayne, MI area. This position plays a vital role in our clients operations by ensuring efficient material handling and warehouse management.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and pallets in accordance with safety regulations.
- Maintain organization of the warehouse by ensuring proper placement of products.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking stock levels using RF scanners.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and productivity.
- Adhere to all OSHA regulations and company policies during operations.
- Any additional duties assigned by the warehouse supervisor.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years proven experience as a Forklift Operator or similar role in a warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Strong knowledge of materials handling procedures and safety regulations (OSHA).
- Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment as part of a team.
Shift hours are 7am - 3:30pm with opportunity for overtime as needed.
