What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machining Technician position at Phoenix Services LLC?
Well-established machine shop in Findlay is seeking a skilled Machinist to join their midnight shift. You would be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing various production and service equipment and the manufacture of machine parts.
Duties
- Plan, set up, and operate machine shop machine tools to produce parts to tolerances and specifications
- Operate tool room machinery in a safe manner during build process
- Perform set up and testing of toolroom equipment under power, testing for mechanical issues, trace the source and correct problem
- Make repair parts as needed
- Use precision measuring and gaging tools to perform inspections before start of the job. Preform repair, rebuild, and/or overhaul work of manufacturing or service equipment from blueprints, company manuals, or written and verbal instructions
- Other related duties as required
Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, either a 4 year apprenticeship program in machining or 8 years of consecutive work in a similar role, and excellent communication skills. EDM/CNC programming experience highly desired.
