What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Phoenix Services LLC?
Well-established company in Dexter, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team of professionals. You would be responsible for performing and coordinating maintenance and repair tasks related to various production and engineering equipment, fixtures and building facilities.
1st shift: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM (could also do 7AM-4PM)
Essential Duties
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on production and engineering related equipment and fixtures
- Responsible for repairs and maintenance of production and engineering related machinery and fixtures
- Receives, prioritizes and coordinates work requests for maintenance needs with input from Operations Manager
- Operates maintenance software to record work completed and observations there-in
- Performs semi-skilled trades which may include minor carpentry, electrical, plumbing, soldering, machining
- Sources and identifies spare and replacement parts and coordinates with managers to get ordered
- Assists in training staff on production equipment and best practices during operation to extend parts and equipment life and maintain quality operation
- Assists in determining appropriate maintenance schedules and creates/modifies schedules in maintenance software
- Inspect and assure quality control of all work performed
- Cleans work areas following completion of maintenance and/or repairs
- Maintains minor facility needs, minor plumbing, changing light bulbs, repairing fixtures or appliances
Qualified candidates with have a minimum of a high school diploma and minimum 5 years experience in related equipment maintenance including high vacuum systems, automated equipment, pneumatic control, water cooling systems, mechanical and electrical systems. Associates degree and/or technical certification in related field strongly preferred. Must have a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and vacuum systems, good hand eye coordination and ability to work with small parts, and basic knowledge of computer systems and software use.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
