Title: Corporate Director of Cyber Security
Location: Southern US preferred
As Corporate Director of Cyber Security, you will lead the strategic and operational efforts to protect the organization s digital assets and infrastructure. This role oversees all aspects of cyber security, including policy development, risk management, incident response, and team leadership. You ll work cross-functionally to ensure compliance, maintain system integrity and availability, and uphold the highest standards of data confidentiality and resilience.
Your role:
- Develop and execute a company-wide cyber security strategy aligned with business goals, focusing on infrastructure protection, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.
- Create and maintain security policies, procedures, and proactive measures to address potential vulnerabilities and evolving threats.
- Lead and mentor the cyber security team, delegate responsibilities, conduct evaluations, and promote a culture of awareness and continuous improvement.
- Manage incident response efforts, including detection, investigation, coordination with internal teams or external agencies, and post-incident reviews.
- Oversee the design and maintenance of security infrastructure, including firewalls, access controls, IDS/IPS, and encryption, in collaboration with IT.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement security tools and technologies to enhance cyber resilience and support secure software and network architecture.
- Ensure adherence to cyber security regulations and standards such as ISO 27001 and PCI-DSS; conduct risk assessments and support internal audits.
- Develop and deliver security awareness programs and training sessions for employees; monitor compliance and enforce corrective actions when necessary.
- Partner with IT, legal, compliance, and executive teams to ensure cybersecurity objectives are embedded across departments and business operations.
- Safeguard system availability and data confidentiality while proactively responding to emerging threats and evolving industry standards.
What you ve got:
- A bachelor s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field; master s degree preferred
- 8 10 years of cyber security experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong expertise in SIEM, DLP, EDR, and cyber security frameworks and practices.
- Familiarity with GDPR, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and other applicable regulations.
- Proven experience building and executing cyber security strategies, policies, and incident response plans.
- Deep understanding of network security, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- CISSP, CISM, CISA, or similar certifications are strongly preferred.
- Experience in the hospitality industry and knowledge of its unique cyber challenges is a plus.
- Being fluent in Spanish is highly preferred
